Bamacs 2022 - Thessaloniki
Excursion Thessaloniki-Halkidiki ....
the 10 most beautiful sights of Thessaloniki .....
the ouzo bars of the Castles.......
We enjoy the stunning view from the ouzo bars of the Castles. We hear the sound of water in the brand new beach parks. We catch the smell of coffee in the air passing by the pedestrian street of Zeuxidos. We lie down at the port pier and gaze at the White Tower opposite.
The Castles....
Eptapyrgio has a special feeling with the Castles that "crown" the city center. A sense of grandeur that accompanies you even if you do nothing but sit with a can of beer on the historic stones of the Thessaloniki citadel near Genti Koule, gazing at the stunning view of the city up to Thermaikos. If the view does not "sit" well for you, the ouzo bars on the "balcony" of Agios Pavlos square undertake to satisfy your appetite, without losing visual contact with the wonderful landscape that stretches below.
The White Tower.....
The most classic promenade starts from the shadow of the White Tower, where you can mingle with tourists, sit on the grass around the city symbol and wait until sunset, which is "lost" opposite, in the industrial setting of the port. And of course in the summer, the walk reaches the boats-bar that make a short tour of Thermaikos for a drink on deck. In fact, we prefer to stay at the port and watch them come and go, with hot dogs from the next canteen and music background the student groups with guitars until dawn.
Aristotelous Square.....
The top meeting point is also a symbol of the restart of the city, after the great fire at the beginning of the last century. Designed by Ernesto Emprar, one of the largest squares in the country gives us the feeling that we are in the heart of Thessaloniki and gathers dozens of small favorite features that inspire customs and rituals: The dates at the statue of Venizelos or the clock of flowers, the clock chestnut slices by Terkenlis of Tsimiski, the voice of the salepitzis who constantly continues his "work" on the sidewalk, the children's balloons at the bottom of the square, and the sense of historical continuity that the Roman market gives at the top, are things that no thessaloniki would change in his daily life for anything in the world
